Terms and Conditions

SwedesFlyShop LLC
Last updated: December 2025
By booking with us or even just browsing the site, you agree to these terms. They are written to protect both of us and to keep everything clear and drama-free.

Who We Are
SwedesFlyShop LLC is a Michigan-registered travel company operating from 18900 Michigan Ave, Dearborn, MI 48126, USA. We design and operate small-group trips to northern Europe and share stories about the region on this website. Reach us anytime at [email protected] or +1 313-584-3257.

Booking and Contract
The moment your booking is confirmed (you receive our confirmation email and invoice), a binding contract exists between you and SwedesFlyShop LLC. Prices are in US dollars, per person, and include everything we explicitly list as included. Anything not mentioned is on you (flights to the starting point, most lunches, alcohol, souvenirs, that extra sweater you couldn’t resist).

Payment Terms
A deposit is due at booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before departure. If you book inside 60 days, the full amount is due immediately. We accept major credit cards and bank transfers. Until full payment is received, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation fees.

Your Responsibility
You promise that all information you give us is correct, that you are at least 18 years old (or have a parent/guardian booking for you), and that you have a valid passport with at least six months validity from the return date. You also agree to buy comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, medical emergencies, and repatriation. We will ask to see proof before departure.

Our Responsibility
We promise to deliver the trip as described, using the hotels, guides, and transportation we planned. Sometimes life in the far north gets creative (volcanoes erupt, ferries get icy, reindeer decide to nap on the runway), so we reserve the right to make reasonable changes. If the change is minor, we just roll with it. If it’s major, you can accept the new plan or get a full refund.

Cancellation by Us
We almost never cancel, but if we must (too few participants, natural disaster, government travel ban, or anything else we can’t control), we will offer you an alternative date or a 100 % refund. That’s the limit of our liability; we don’t cover your non-refundable flights or lost vacation days.

Cancellation by You
Please see our separate Refund Policy for the exact schedule. In short: the closer to departure, the less we can return because suppliers have already been paid and spots can’t be resold last-minute.

Travel Insurance (We’re Serious)
You must have it. No exceptions. If you show up at the airport without coverage and something happens, we cannot help beyond what our own insurance allows, and that’s very little.

Behavior and Safety
We expect you to behave like a decent human. No harassing fellow travelers or guides, no showing up drunk to activities, no ignoring safety instructions. If your behavior puts the group or the trip at risk, the guide can remove you immediately with no refund. Same goes if you break local laws.

Health and Mobility
Some trips involve walking on uneven ground, cold weather, or early starts. We describe the physical level honestly. You are responsible for making sure you’re fit enough and for telling us about any medical conditions or mobility issues when you book.

Photos and Stories
We love taking group photos and sometimes use them on the website or social media (faces blurred if you ask). By joining you give permission unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

Liability Limits
We buy proper commercial insurance and choose partners carefully, but adventure travel has risks. We are not liable for injury, loss, delay, or extra costs caused by weather, strikes, war, illness, or anything else outside our direct control. Our total liability will never exceed the price you paid us.

Complaints
If something isn’t right during the trip, tell the guide immediately so we can fix it on the spot (we usually can). If you wait until you’re home, it becomes much harder. Formal complaints must reach us in writing within 28 days of return.

Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Wayne County, Michigan.

Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted here at the moment of booking is the one that applies to your trip.
